Yikes.... I'm not really good at this!

WOW! You know what I'm really bad at? Blogging! My gosh, I can't believe I haven't put anything up here since September! Perhaps my resolution for the new year should be not to neglect The High Road!

Some highlights from the past few months:
  • Jordan won a prestigious Owl award from Rice for a project he worked on during the Spring semester.
  • Jordan received and accepted a job offer from Chevron! He starts in May 2011 after graduation. We are so blessed with this development!
  • I ran my second half-marathon in San Antonio on November 14. Future races are being discussed, but I haven't committed to anything yet. We'll see ;)
  • I completed my placement at Texas Children's Hospital for Junior League. It was such a rewarding experience and I hope to find time to volunteer there in the future.
  • Jordan, Sarah, her brother Russell and her father, George, all ran the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. We then immeadiately canceled all calories that were burned running with a delicious Thanksgiving meal made by Sandy, Sarah's mom.
  • We placed membership at Sugar Grove Church of Christ and are so incredibly happy we have found a church home!
  • We had numerous Christmas celebrations with our families!
  • Jordan started his LAST semester of school!
It's amazing to see how abundant our blessings have been this year! 2010 was a good year for us. I think we felt a little more settled in our marriage and the fact that Jordan's schedule changes every six weeks due to school has really made us great at transitions! This is the first week of his last semester and we are so excited! He will graduate on May 13, 2010. School has been challenging at times, but now that the end is near I can look back and see what a learning experience it was for both of us. Jordan has learned so much - and honesly, I don't understand a lot of it. (If you don't know, I don't do math so when he starts talking numbers my brain sort of shuts off). And while I might not have been the one cracking the books, I have learned a lot about patience. Or maybe I just learned that I have no patience.

We are very much looking forward to 2011. We cannot wait to celebrate our friends' weddings, new babies and new adventures! And we hope to have some new adventures (that I will post here!) of our own as well. So come back... I promise to not neglect The High Road any longer!
