Here we go again...

Ok - so we are a little less than two weeks (give or take a few days) from having our world rocked by the arrival of our little boy! I decided to give this blogging thing one last go so that friends and family can keep up with our adventures with little H. Maybe the third time attempting to blog will be the charm. Here are a few things you will need to know about our blog.

- Give us some time to get into a groove. Everyone keeps telling me how difficult the first few months are going to be so my goal is to get up a couple of posts a month for three months. Then we can see about increasing the postage. Sidenote: I like puns.

- I (Sarah) am writing it. I will be in a houseful of boys, except for the Chloe the cat, but if you know anything about me you know that Chloe and I aren't exactly close. I will need some place where I can be girly. The background to this blog may sometimes be pink. The blog sometimes may contain posts about clothes (when I can wear regular clothes again), shoes and make up. I hope this doesn't deter our male readers (if we have any readers at all), but this mama will need an outlet to let her girly flag fly from time to time. You have been warned.

- I promise to keep it real. I will not pretend everything is always roses and sunshine. I won't describe every day as "perfect" or tell you that "things have never been better." Sure, I hope I have a lot of days like that. I expect to have days like that. I am going to write about those great days. But I also expect to have days where I'm wondering who is going to come take care of this baby so I can go have chips/salsa and a margarita on a patio somewhere. You know... one of those days. I have those days now and I don't expect them to disappear when I become a mother.

- I realize that we are really not that interesting and are pretty much like every family with a newborn. I realize I am not profound and this blog will not change your life. I don't want anyone to think I am sitting in front of a computer thinking I am the next Erma Bombeck. However, this doesn't mean I don't want to capture our little moments and funny stories, so I am going to do my best to keep this blog up. Hope you keep up with us, too!
